This policy explains how GovEVA Pvt. Ltd. ("GovEVA", "we") handles personal data collected through our website. It covers website visitors and enquiries only. If you are a customer using the GovEVA application, the handling of data in the app is governed by your customer agreement, not this policy.

What we collect


You give us:
your name, email, phone, company, and anything you write when you fill a form, apply for a job, or contact us.

We collect automatically: your IP address, device and browser details, and how you use the site — gathered through server logs and cookies.

Why we use it, and our legal basis


We use your personal data only for these purposes, each with a lawful basis:

  • Reply to your enquiry; provide what you request — Basis: Performing your request (DPDP) / contract (GDPR)
  • Send you marketing — Basis: Your consent, withdrawable anytime
  • Analytics, site improvement, personalisation — Basis: Your consent (via cookie banner)
  • Recruitment — Basis: Steps toward employment
  • Meet legal or regulatory obligations — Basis: Legal obligation

We do not sell or rent your data. We use it only for the purposes above.

Cookies

Essential cookies make the site work. Analytics and advertising cookies run only if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice anytime.

Who we share it with


Only with vendors who help us run the business (e.g. hosting, email, recruitment), under contracts that bind them to protect your data and use it only for us. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it


We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose we collected it, or as the law requires. To ask us to delete your data, email office@goveva.com.

Storage and transfers

We are based in India and process data here. Some vendors may process data in other countries; where they do, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) and comply with applicable transfer rules under DPDP and GDPR.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No internet transmission is fully secure, so please take care with what you send.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Access the data we hold on you
  • Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete your data
  • Withdraw consent (as easily as you gave it)
  • Restrict or object to certain processing (EEA)
  • Port your data to another provider (EEA)
  • Nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated (India)

Children

Our website is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we learn we have, we will delete it. Where we process a child's data, we require verifiable parental consent.

Data Protection Officer / Grievance Officer

We have appointed a Data Protection Officer, who also acts as our Grievance Officer, and is accountable for how we handle personal data. Their responsibilities are to:

  • Serve as your point of contact for any question, request, or complaint about your personal data and your rights under this policy
  • Monitor our compliance with applicable data protection laws (DPDP Act, 2023 and GDPR) and our internal policies
  • Advise the business on data protection obligations and assess the privacy impact of new processing activities
  • Oversee responses to data-subject requests and grievances within statutory timelines
  • Act as our point of contact for, and cooperate with, supervisory authorities (the Data Protection Board of India and EEA data protection authorities)

Complaints

Contact our Data Protection Officer / Grievance Officer first (details above) — we will try to resolve it.

We acknowledge complaints promptly and respond within one month. If you are not satisfied:

  • India: you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
  • EEA: you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes appear here with a new effective date.
